Adaptation of Literacy Applications for Children with Functional Difficulties

The internal review activity of the Literacy Application Adaptation for Children with Functional Difficulties was the 7th meeting held on Saturday (08/07/2023) in the Warek 1 Room of Hamzanwadi University which was attended by the Application Development team, the internal review team, and the INOVASI partner team with 6 participants (M: 4 / F: 2).

Based on the results of the internal review conducted, several notes for agreement on the content of the application instrument developed were to determine the wording in each functional obstacle for basic literacy, because different obstacles also have different wording or directions needed in each basic literacy question in the application developed and the ability level including, letter level, word level, sentence level, paragraph level, and story level which have achievement criteria at each level.

Application Adaptation is an application developed as a tool for conducting basic literacy assessments in children with functional difficulties. This application is expected to help educational institutions in obtaining data and providing appropriate learning recommendations for children with functional difficulties. Hamzanwadi University developed the application by looking at the increasing issue of inclusiveness, and in the future it can be used by volunteers from the Disability Service Center (PLD) of Hamzanwadi University when they go to schools to help teachers in obtaining data and providing appropriate actions to children.
