Benchmarking, Unpam Visits Hamzanwadi University

EAST LOMBOK - The management of Hamzanwadi University received a visit from the Sasmita Jaya Foundation along with several elements of the leadership of Pamulang University (Unpam) Banten, Wednesday (05/12/2023).

The visit was to conduct external benchmarking at Hamzanwadi University as an effort to find and find best practices in managing private universities better.

This visit was warmly welcomed by the leadership of the Hamsanwadi Education Foundation represented by the chairman of the education council and all elements of the Hamzanwadi University leadership including the vice chancellor, director of quality assurance, deans, heads of centers/heads of units.

This event was facilitated by the head of the Hamzanwadi University cooperation and public relations center. In his introduction, the Head of the Cooperation and Public Relations Center Dr. Halqi said that this visit was the second visit from various universities who wanted to share experiences.

"God willing, in the middle of this month UPSI Malaysia as one of our partners will also visit this campus with the mission of implementing the cooperation that we have established so far," said Halqi.

According to him, the visit from UNPAM today is a very special visit because it is known that UNPAM itself is one of the PTS that is very concerned with the tagline "Sharing for the Country" for the advancement of education in Indonesia.

The chairman of the YPH PPD NWDI Pancor education council, Dr. Khirjan Nahdi, M.Hum, said that educational development is a shared responsibility through collaboration and cooperation as well as sharing with each other.

The former Vice Rector 1 emphasized that this visit must be utilized by Hamzanwadi University to share experiences in order to realize a higher quality university.

"The good things in UNPAM must be used as a reference for the advancement of our campus and of course the good things that our campus has can be used as best practice by UNPAM. This is one of the important goals in conducting benchmarking," he said.

The warm welcome from the host was returned with the highest gratitude from the chairman of the Sasmita Jaya Foundation, Dr. Pranoto, who said that his party was not wrong in choosing Hamzanwadi University as the benchmarking location.

"We know that this campus is the best PTS in NTB. We want to get information on how to manage the institution so that it can achieve the expected quality standards including reducing the DO rate," he said.

In addition, his party wants to know the strategy to accelerate the study period, increase the percentage of graduate absorption, control the performance of the tridharma of higher education and so on.

During this visit, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) and Implementation Arrangement (IA) in the field of education was signed between Deputy Chancellor 1 of Hamzanwadi University Dr. Abdullah Muzakar and Deputy Chancellor 1 of Pamulang University Dr. Ubaid Al Faruq.

He hopes that this collaboration can be implemented in the form of real actions that are mutually beneficial to both parties. The signing of the MoU and IA was continued with a discussion led by the head of PKH Hamzanwadi University.
