Saturday, February 15, 2025 at the Hamzanwadi University Hall. The Guidance and Counseling Study Program, Faculty of Education, held a mental health seminar. In the context of the 47th Disnatalis, participants were Guidance and Counseling teachers throughout NTB, Guidance and Counseling practitioners, and students from various campuses in NTB. The speaker in this seminar presented Baiq Ratna Ayun Sari, M.Psi, a psychologist at Dr. Soedjono Selong Hospital. According to Mrs. Ayun's presentation, the mental health cases that are currently rampant among adolescents have entered a serious level, namely cases of self-harm leading to suicide. According to him, Guidance and Counseling teachers have a very urgent role in schools in providing treatment, by detecting children's development at school early. He also provided an early detection test instrument to identify students' mental health conditions that can be applied by Guidance and Counseling teachers at school. However, if further treatment is needed, they should be referred to a psychologist at the hospital immediately. Speaker Dr. Ridwan provided reinforcement from the mental health side with an Islamic approach. According to him, the essence of a mentally healthy person is those who know their God well. One of them is by being devout in prayer.
