As stated in the remarks delivered by the Chairperson of the PLD Volunteers, International Disability Day is not just a celebration, but also an invitation to all elements of society to jointly create a friendly, supportive, and empowering environment for our brothers and sisters with disabilities. The hope is that through PLD it can be used as a forum to build self-confidence and enthusiasm for people with disabilities.
People with disabilities are valuable assets who have extraordinary potential if given support in developing their potential. "In celebrating International Disability Day today, it can be used as a form of our declaration as one of the Universities that is committed to realizing indicators of equality for all humans on this earth. God created humans in a perfect form, God gives advantages to every human being, so that the indicator of perfection is seen from the advantages possessed by each human being, not seen from their physical appearance," explained Vice Chancellor 1 of Hamzanwadi University.
Through this celebration of disability, we can all understand equality, opportunity, and justice, because many of us still create indicators of imperfection about people with disabilities. Human equality is the main foundation of Hamzanwadi University's commitment to being an inclusive campus in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) starting in 2021. It is hoped that Hamzanwadi University will be one of the campuses that can be used as a place to develop the potential of students with disabilities and become the leading inclusive campus in NTB.
