
Confirming PPG Students, Chancellor of Hamzanwadi University Emphasizes the Importance of Improving the Quality of Education
SELONG - Hamzanwadi University inaugurated 446 students of the Pre-Service Teacher Professional Education (PPG) program. Of the total 446 students inaugurated, 338 of them attended the graduation ceremony held in the campus auditorium in person. Meanwhile, the remaining 108 students attended the graduation ceremony online through an online platform provided by the university.
The inaugurated students came from various study programs, including Mathematics, Physics, Indonesian, English, Economics, Sociology, and Elementary School Teacher Education (PGSD). The diversity of study programs reflects the university's commitment to preparing qualified prospective teachers who have expertise in their respective fields.
The inauguration of students who have completed consists of 168 students from PPG Prajab batch 1. 161 attended offline while 7 people attended online. 134 students from PPG Prajab batch 2 attended in person. Meanwhile, the 2023 batch of PPG Daljab numbered 89 people, for Retakers there were 144 who attended offline 43 while 55 were online. All of them came from the Economic Education, English, BK, PGSD, and Penjaskes Study Programs.
The Chancellor of Hamzanwadi University, Dr. Hj. Sitti Rohmi Djalilah, said that this graduation was a highly anticipated time. This graduation shows a form of gratitude. It is hoped that all those who graduate will contribute to the advancement of education. The teaching profession is a very noble profession.
"Today's happiness complements the fathers and mothers as long as they contribute as a teacher, it is extraordinary. The teaching profession is a very noble profession. Imagine the progress of this country depends on human resources, if the quality of human resources is low, the country will not be able to progress," explained Umi Rohmi, Tuesday (05/12/2023) enthusiastically.
According to her, quality human resources are very much determined by good teacher human resources. They are able to provide good education to develop the character of their students. If the teaching profession is interpreted as worship, it will certainly be recorded as an act of worship by God. He even believes that if he becomes a teacher who makes a good impression on his students, his students will pray for him.
"The purpose of the state in holding this PPG is to improve the quality of teachers. Alhamdulillah, Hamzanwadi University was given trust by the government. This is a mandate. I always emphasize to management to maintain quality. Alhamdulillah, we are the best in NTB. Congratulations and good luck," he concluded.
Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Dr. Abdullah Muzakar added, his deep appreciation to all students who have completed their education diligently and with high dedication. Of course, this cannot be separated from the guidance of the lecturers and mentor teachers who have guided them with great perseverance and patience.
"We are proud to see the achievements that you have achieved during your educational journey at Hamzanwadi University. Hopefully, the skills and knowledge you have gained can be implemented well in the world of education in the future," said Muzakar.
He said that the students had successfully completed their study programs well. Hamzanwadi University students have also shown achievements with very satisfying results. It is hoped that with their achievements they will be able to contribute to the world of education in a better direction and have an impact on the quality of education.
At the end of the event, the graduates were given certificates of appreciation as a form of recognition for their hard work in completing this study program, and Hamzanwadi University remains committed to continuing to support and produce quality educators for a better future.
