"The development of the SIMPUL Application aims to become a database for all MSMEs, IKMs throughout NTB, which provides accurate information in order to facilitate coordination between OPDs so that the decision-making process carried out by regional heads or OPD Leaders becomes faster and more targeted," said Ali, after the submission of the Simpul application in Mataram, Thursday, November 19, 2020.

In addition, the SIMPUL application is a data portal platform application developed as part of the demands of the development of science and digital information technology. Moreover, during the Covid-19 pandemic, the digitalization of the data provision system, especially MSMEs/IKMs, has become an urgent need.

"The SIMPUL Application development process is the result of collaboration between the NTB Provincial Trade Office and Hamzanadi University through PSESTI which includes the process of identifying and analyzing needs, the development process, socialization and training, and the data input process," he explained.

Considering that the development process has only reached the application development stage, the socialization, training, and input and validation processes for MSME/IKM data will be carried out in the following year through institutional cooperation between the provincial government through the Trade Office and Hamzanwadi University.

"The activity will involve both lecturers and students who can be used as one of the schemes for implementing the Independent Learning Independent Campus (MBKM), Thematic KKN or other forms of activities that are possible according to the agreement of both parties," explained the doctor who graduated from Malang State University.

Another advantage of the SIMPUL Application is that it can be used as an instrument in the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education which can be implemented in partnership with the government, both provincial, district and village governments, especially related to the data collection and mentoring process for MSME/IKM, and BUMDES with a pilot system in several villages and carried out sustainably.
