Developing Women's MSMEs, Hamzanwadi University Business Incubation Center Collaborates with BRI Research Institute

East Lombok – Hamzanwadi University Business Incubation Center has officially established a strategic partnership with BRI Research Institute to support the development of women's Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), especially women entrepreneurs and the younger generation of women.

This partnership aims to provide more intensive support to MSME actors through training programs, halal assistance, provision of MSME platforms, training and webinars, and provision of business capital.

"This program is expected to increase the capacity, skills, and competitiveness of women's MSMEs in local and global markets," said Hamzanwadi University Chancellor, Dr. Hj. Sitti Rohmi Djalilah, M.Pd after signing the memorandum of understanding, Monday (06/01/2025) in Selong, East Lombok, NTB.

Rohmi emphasized that this collaboration is an important step in supporting women's empowerment in the economic sector which has not yet developed widely due to various obstacles and problems.

"We believe that women entrepreneurs have great potential to drive local economic growth. Through this collaboration, we want to ensure that they have access to the training, mentoring, and financing needed to succeed," he said.

According to him, this program is in line with the campus's commitment with BRI in supporting MSMEs as a solution for MSME actors, especially young women, to broaden their horizons in business management, digital marketing, and the implementation of halal concepts that meet international standards.

He further explained that this collaboration includes halal mentoring, namely helping MSMEs obtain halal certification which is an added value for products in the global market, and providing a digital platform to expand market access for women's MSME products.

In addition, providing intensive training and webinars and regular webinars on business management, product innovation, and digital marketing. Including providing access to funding with a scheme that is friendly to women's MSMEs.

The collaboration between Hamzanwadi University and the BRI Research Institute is expected to be a model for empowering women's MSMEs in NTB and other regions. This collaboration also emphasizes the commitment of both institutions in creating an inclusive, competitive, and sustainable business ecosystem.

"We hope that this collaboration can be an example of best practices in empowering women's economy, creating a more inclusive business ecosystem and supporting local economic growth in NTB and its surroundings," concluded Umi Rohmi.
