Explore Lombok's Natural Potential, Hamzanwadi University Students Undertake Industrial Internships

EAST LOMBOK - In 2022, the Pharmacy Study Program at Hamzanwadi University again received a grant for the independent campus competition program (PKKM) from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, Technology and Higher Education. Dean of the Faculty of Health Dr. Hj Hartini Haritani emphasized that 10 students of the Pharmacy Study Program at Hamzanwadi University carried out industrial internships in two companies. "First, the Annaufa Cosmetics Company in Yogyakarta, a cosmetic industry company, and second at the Organic Lombok Indonesia Company," Hartini Haritani, Sunday (07/08/2022).

For the company in Jogja, her party sent 4 students and they have been welcomed by representatives of the company's leadership, because last year, students also had an industrial internship there. At that company, students will carry out an industrial internship for 4 months. There, students will learn about designing cosmetic formulas. "They will choose raw materials, production processes, packaging, legality to marketing and solve problems found in the field," she said.

Meanwhile in Mataram, students also did an industrial internship at PT Organik Lombok Indonesia with a total of 6 students. It was said that the internship handover process took place on Wednesday (August 3, 2022) at the offices of the two companies and was received by the respective company leaders. Each company provides students with the opportunity to learn to increase their knowledge and experience as provisions after graduation.

Previously, the Head of the Pharmacy Study Program at Hamzanwadi University, Tri Puspita, APT., M.Par said that this internship would provide great output for students in the context of theory and practice. "Including students' views regarding the practice and profession of pharmacy in the field of manufacturing cosmetic products produced by the company," he said. He also said that all activities that students will carry out in this activity will be converted into credits equivalent to lecture activities for 1 semester.

CEO of PT Organik Lombok Indonesia Septia Erianty also welcomed the collaboration between the Faculty of Health, Hamzanwadi University and the company she leads. According to him, in addition to supporting the improvement of human resources quality, this industrial internship activity can explore the potential of natural resources (SDA) of Lombok Island. Students who can explore this potential to increase its utility value by making it into a quality cosmetic product and have competitiveness in the world of beauty.
