SELONG - Expanding the network of cooperation, the Faculty of Education (FIP) of Hamzanwadi University conducted a visitation of five sports training units (Satlat) in East Lombok, Saturday (05/08/2023).

The five Satlats are SBB Bee Boys which is a training unit in the field of soccer, Kijang Rinjani Athletic Club which is a Satlat in the field of athletics,

There is also the Samudra Cup Volley Ball Rarang (Satlat in the volleyball sport), the Indonesian Fentaque Sports Federation (FOPI) East Lombok, and the Indonesian Karate-Do Sports Federation (FORKI) East Lombok.

This visit was led directly by the Dean of FIP Muhammad Sururuddin, M.Pd and the Coordinator of the Physical Education, Health and Recreation Study Program (Penjaskesrak) Herman Afrian.

The visit was accompanied by an agreement to implement cooperation between Hamzanwadi University and the five SATLATs, to show the commitment of the activities carried out by signing a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) between the two parties.

"The contents of the cooperation agreement are related to collaboration to make the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) implementation program a success in the form of internship activities," said Sururuddin.

In implementing this internship program, around 25 students will be spread out for internships at the five SATLATs to learn about coaching, management, and communication.

It is hoped that students who do internships will be given the opportunity to deepen their knowledge and skills in certain fields of work as provisions for them when they start working later.

During the internship, students can learn directly from practitioners in their fields, experience real-world situations, and practice the skills they have learned. This helps them be better prepared when they enter the real world of work.

"In addition to building partnerships, it is also a form of strengthening students' theoretical abilities while students are taking material on campus, so we hope that students will get learning experience at the internship locations at the Five Satlats," he said.

Not only that, during the internship, students can interact with people in the same industry, get to know company leaders, and establish useful relationships for future careers.

Through a strong professional network can help in getting a job in a better place in the future.

Internships help students to develop the ability to adapt to different work environments.

During the internship, they will face different challenges and learn how to adapt to a new environment. Strong adaptability is one of the most valued skills in today's workplace.

In addition, internships also provide an opportunity for students to get feedback and evaluation on their performance. Practitioners in the same field can provide valuable feedback on their strengths and weaknesses, so they can develop their skills better.

"By doing an internship also provides an opportunity for students to evaluate whether a career in a particular field is in accordance with their interests and abilities," he concluded.
