
Hamzanwadi University FT Community Service Team Holds AI Training for Teachers
SELONG – In an effort to improve the quality of education in the digital era, the Faculty of Engineering Community Service Team of Hamzanwadi University held training on the use of artificial intelligence (AI) tools for teachers and students in parallel at MA Mu'allimat NWDI Kelayu, Selong.
"This training aims to introduce and teach the use of AI tools that can help teachers and students in the teaching and learning process," said Dean of FT Dr. H. Djamaluddin, Tuesday (06/08/2024).
He hopes that by understanding and implementing AI technology, teachers can increase the effectiveness of learning and students can get a more interactive and adaptive learning experience.
According to him, mastery of modern technology such as AI is very important for educators to face the challenges of education in the 21st century which currently cannot be separated from technology.
"Through this training, we hope that teachers can utilize AI to create a more effective and interesting learning experience for students," he said.
This training is part of the community service program carried out by Hamzanwadi University to encourage the development of human resources that are adaptive to technological changes.
In the future, the university plans to hold more similar training and workshops covering various other technology topics, such as the internet of things (IoT) and big data, to strengthen the capacity of educators in the regions.
"By holding this training, it is hoped that teachers can become agents of change who encourage innovation in the education system, as well as prepare students to face challenges and opportunities in the future," he concluded.
The Head of MA Mu'allimat NWDI Kelayu Ahsan Rusydani in his speech emphasized the importance of adopting technology in education to answer the challenges of the times and prepare a competent and highly competitive young generation.
The participants, both teachers and students, seemed enthusiastic in participating in each training session, especially during the practical session on using AI and Google tools and their derivatives (Drive, GForms, Google Classroom).
They were taught how to create classes, add materials, and manage assignments online. Through this hands-on training, teachers and students gained valuable experience in applying AI technology in daily teaching and learning activities.
"We hope that this training can provide new insights for teachers and students and encourage them to be more creative and innovative in teaching and learning," said speaker Hadian Mandala Putra.
He emphasized that the use of AI in education not only makes teachers' work easier, but also increases student engagement and motivation to learn.
For information, the Faculty of Engineering, Hamzanwadi University Community Service Team consists of lecturers from the Computer Engineering, Informatics and Environmental Engineering study programs who are experts in their fields.
