Selong — Hamzanwadi University held a National Insight activity for Pre-Service PPG students Batch 2 of 2024 on Monday, May 5, 2025. This activity is part of an effort to strengthen national character and instill nationalistic values ​​for prospective professional educators.

The event was officially opened by the Vice Chancellor III of Hamzanwadi University, Dr. H. Musifuddin, M.Pd., who in his speech conveyed the importance of the role of teachers in forming a young generation who are not only intellectually intelligent, but also strong in terms of morals and nationality.

"As prospective educators, PPG students must have a strong national insight. This is important so that they can become agents of change who maintain the integrity of the nation through education," said Dr. Musifuddin.

The activity continued with the delivery of the main material by the Chief of Staff of the East Lombok Regency Kodim, Lieutenant Colonel H. Sarbini, who gave an in-depth explanation of the importance of national insight in the modern era. He emphasized that threats to national unity can come in various forms, so it is important for the younger generation, especially prospective teachers, to have an awareness and commitment to maintaining the values ​​of diversity and the spirit of nationalism.

After the material session, the students attended the Marching and Flag Raising Training guided by Commander Kamarudin and Team. This training aims to instill discipline, cooperation, and responsibility as basic characters that every educator must have.

The activity, which took place with great enthusiasm, is expected to be an important provision for PPG students in carrying out their strategic role as future educators who have a national perspective and a patriotic spirit.
