Hamzanwadi University Postgraduate Cares About Stunting

East Lombok - The Postgraduate Program of Hamzanwadi University, East Lombok, NTB, has shown real action in helping the government to reduce stunting rates in NTB.

In order to maximize this, the campus with the motto of excellence and competitiveness has created a real action in the form of a stunting care movement (GPS) involving postgraduate students.

"GPS is one of the real activities carried out by postgraduate students in helping the NTB Provincial Government reduce stunting rates," said the Director of the Postgraduate Program at Hamzanwadi University, Dr. Padlurrahman, Wednesday (11/01/2023).

He emphasized that each student becomes a foster parent for one stunting sufferer with the main task of providing egg needs and ensuring that their foster child actually consumes the eggs in question.

"Our target for GPS this time is 85 stunting sufferers with 85 foster parents and we plan to follow up with around 80 foster parents in 2023," explained Padlurrahman who is also the Director of LP3M.

Before students are assigned to care for stunting sufferers, they are required to attend briefings by various parties, including the health service, practitioners, and academics.

This intervention is truly carried out through a mechanism agreed upon between students and various parties in the village where students carry out stunting interventions so that it is believed that this will run well
