Friday night, January 20, 2023, all students held a joint prayer online. The joint prayer was led directly by the Director of the Hamzanwadi University Postgraduate Program, Dr. Padlurrahman, M.Pd.

In his remarks, Dr. Padlurrahman, M.Pd said that this joint prayer agenda was carried out in connection with the death of Mr. Gunawan Wiratno, M.Pd. who was one of the best alumni at the Hamzanwadi University Postgraduate Program. According to him, this activity must continue to be cultivated as an embodiment of the vision of the santri culture and also as a manifestation of the humanist principles that we always instill in the hearts of every academic community of the Hamzanwadi University postgraduate program. We must be able to implement this humanist principle in the form of real actions as we have done and are currently doing, including: Postgraduate sharing with the underprivileged community, Postgraduate care through the Stunting Care Movement for 85 stunting sufferers in NTB, and Postgraduate Empathy through joint prayers for academics who have experienced disasters or academics who have died, he said.

On the same occasion, the study program coordinator Dr. H. Badaruddin and several lecturers were also present. Where before the joint prayer, the study program coordinator led students and alumni to meet with the deceased's family and directly conveyed condolences and deep sorrow to the deceased's family. At the end of the event, the postgraduate director conveyed condolences by apologizing for the deceased's mistakes and mistakes to all lecturers, students and alumni so that the deceased's journey to meet God is truly without burdens related to hablumminannas matters.
