
Hamzanwadi University Strengthens Cooperation with Yogyakarta PGRI University Through PKKM
Yogyakarta - Hamzanwadi University handed over exchange students in the framework of the Independent Campus Competition Program (PKKM) Institution Support System (ISS) to Universitas PGRI Yogyakarta (UPY), Friday (09/15/2023).
PKKM ISS is an innovative program initiated by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology which aims to improve the quality of higher education in Indonesia through various activities, including student exchanges between universities.
"The goal is to provide diverse learning experiences and broaden students' horizons, so that they can become competent agents of change in the future," said Deputy Chancellor 1 of Hamzanwadi University Dr. Abdullah Muzakar.
Hamzanwadi University sent a number of selected students to UPY as part of a collaborative effort to improve the learning experience of students who have undergone a strict selection process before being selected to participate in this program.
"We are very proud and excited to see the best students participating in PKKM. This collaboration is a golden opportunity for them to expand their knowledge, skills, and networks in different academic environments," explained Muzakar.
According to him, the PKKM Program is a real example of a joint effort to improve the quality of higher education. By supporting students in undergoing exchanges between universities, this program aims to create a generation of competent leaders who are ready to compete at the global level.
"During this exchange, students from Universitas Hamzanwadi will have the opportunity to take various courses, participate in research, and be involved in extracurricular activities at Universitas PGRI Yogyakarta," he explained.
With the student exchange between universities, students are expected to become agents of change who bring new knowledge and experience to their home institutions, as well as enrich the academic environment at the host university.
In addition to the student exchange, the two prestigious campuses signed an MoU and Cooperation Agreement (PKS) involving the Faculty of Education (FIP) and the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) of Universitas Hamzanwadi and FKIP UPY.
"We are very proud of this opportunity to establish close cooperation with Universitas Hamzanwadi. This will bring great benefits to the development of education and research at both universities," he said.
This cooperation includes the exchange of students, lecturers, and joint research in various fields of science. It is expected that the synergy between the two universities will produce greater innovation and contribution in the development of the world of education.
The event was also attended by a number of officials and lecturers from both universities, and ended with the exchange of souvenirs as a sign of friendship. This is an important step in advancing higher education and bringing positive impacts to the wider community.
