Jakarta - Hamzanwadi University received an award as a Supporter of the Climate Village Program (Proklim) from the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK), Friday (09/08/2024) in Jakarta.

This award was given as a form of appreciation for Hamzanwadi University's contribution in supporting efforts to control climate change through various sustainable programs and activities.

The Chancellor of Hamzanwadi University, Dr. Hj Rohmi Djalilah, appreciated this award. He emphasized the campus's commitment to continue to play an active role in preserving the environment.

"This award is the result of the hard work of the entire academic community of Hamzanwadi University who continue to strive to create an environmentally friendly and sustainable campus," he said.

Representing the campus, Agus Muliadi Putra, M.Si, who received the award, added that Proklim is part of the commitment and contribution to efforts to control global climate change, especially the role of Non-Party Stakeholders (NPS).

"This activity is a series of the implementation of the Climate, Forestry, and Energy Environment Festival (LIKE 2) which will take place from 8-11 August 2024," said Agus Muliadi Putra, M.Sc.

The LIKE 2 Festival is a program initiated by the Ministry of Environment and Forestry in the context of the road to the 29th COP of the UNFCCC 2024 which will take place in Baku, Azerbaijan in mid-November.

Agus said that this award was given for active participation in campus greening, integrated waste management, and research and community service activities that focus on environmental issues.

"With this award, Hamzanwadi University has further strengthened its position as one of the higher education institutions that is committed to supporting sustainable development and preserving the environment," he concluded.
