
Holding a Public Lecture, Hamzanwadi University Presents a Professor from Japan
SELONG - Hamzanwadi University held an international-level Public Lecture by presenting a professor from Kitakyusu University, Japan as a resource person, Thursday (02/03/2023) in Pancor, East Lombok.
Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Dr. Abdullah Muzakkar said that this event was a follow-up to the previously signed cooperation with Kitakyusu University, Japan.
"We hope that all existing cooperation will be maximized properly so that our campus truly becomes an international campus," said Muzakkar.
As the best private campus in NTB, he emphasized that it must show its existence and build collaboration with all parties so that the vision of the campus founded by the national hero is able to compete globally and sustainably.
Moreover, currently, global progress has demanded the world of education to continue to innovate sustainably. He realized that education is a fundamental right in the value of human life.
According to him, human life basically cannot be separated from education, so education plays a very important role in supporting human life.
"So the theme of the public lecture on the implementation of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in everyday life is very appropriate," said the doctor who graduated from UNJ.
Meanwhile, Prof. Miyake emphasized how important SDGs are for maintaining environmental sustainability so that it remains clean and beautiful.
He had time to tell the long history of SDGs in Japan which initiated the program including linking it to Indonesia where many people live on the banks of rivers. Until finally an environmental community was formed until now.
The professor who focuses on SDGs in Japan also hopes that there will be a student exchange between Kitakyusu University Japan and Hamzanwadi University so that cooperation between the two universities can be closer.
At that time, he signed the Implementation of Agreement (IoA) with three study programs at Hamzanwadi University, namely the Geography Study Program, the Environmental Engineering Study Program, and the Biology Education Study Program.
It is known that Prof. Miyake Hiroyuki is currently conducting research in Indonesia with elementary school teachers in Mataram. Also present at the public lecture were Prof. Takada and two students from Japan.
