Hundreds of Hamzanwadi University Students Get Merdeka Student Exchange Program
EAST LOMBOK - Hundreds of Hamzanwadi University students were released to participate in the independent student exchange program (PMM). They were released to study at several well-known universities in Indonesia. "Dozens of our students in the engineering faculty have successfully graduated from the PMM program and were accepted at ITB, ITN, UI, UDINUS, AMIKOM University, Teknokrat University and others," said Hamzanwadi University Vice Chancellor Dr. H. Khirjan, Thursday (11/08/2022).
According to him, the PMM program is a superior program for students to participate in learning outside of study programs and universities that are competitive. "We should be grateful, almost all study programs on our campus have students who get the program. Except for two study programs, namely the history and pharmacy study programs," said the doctor who graduated from UNY.
The purpose of the PMM Program is to improve the ability of universities to manage student exchange programs and increase cooperation across universities. Through this PMM, students are expected to have the experience of studying at universities in Indonesia for one semester or 6 months. Including the development of their knowledge outside their own campus.
Furthermore, it was stated that this PMM has a new characteristic in creating a dynamic meeting space between students, lecturers, and universities through academic and non-academic activities. There they are prepared with a space to discuss the cultural diversity of the local area. In fact, this PMM gives students the freedom to choose courses at universities in different locations.
Students implementing this PMM already have their own module, namely the Nusantara Module as one of the special characters. The Nusantara Module includes activities exploring diversity in the university area for students.
