Improving the Quality of Learning, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Hamzanwadi University Holds Workshop

SELONG - The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (MIPA) of Hamzanwadi University held a workshop to improve the quality of case study-based learning or project-based learning for the Independent Campus Competition Program (PK-KM), Saturday (22/07/2023).

"This workshop aims to improve the quality of learning based on Case Project-Based Learning for the Independent Campus Competition Program (PK-KM)," explained the Dean of the Faculty of MIPA Dr. H. Edy Waluyo.

This event is part of the university's proactive efforts to provide more relevant learning experiences and prepare students to face challenges in the increasingly complex world of work.

This workshop was attended by a number of lecturers and teaching staff of the Statistics Study Program, as well as students of the program who are currently studying in statistics.

In addition, this workshop was also attended by several speakers from the Islamic University of Indonesia, Yogyakarta and the Sepuluh November Institute of Technology, Surabaya.

According to him, in this workshop, participants received various materials related to the implementation and development of case and project-based learning. The Case Project-Based Learning Program learning method is an approach applied to provide more contextual and solution-oriented lessons.

"Students are invited to work in groups, analyze real cases, and face complex statistical challenges as they will encounter in the professional world," he said.

In addition, the Statistics Study Program at Hamzanwadi University also emphasizes the importance of collaboration between universities, industry, and government through the Independent Campus Competition (PK-KM) program.

He hopes that through this innovative learning method, students will be more prepared and skilled in applying statistical knowledge in various sectors, and can play an active role in supporting the progress of the nation.

This workshop event also received high appreciation from participants, both students and lecturers, because it provided valuable insights and experiences that were not only theoretical, but also practical.

It is hoped that this progressive step will be an encouragement for other study programs at Hamzanwadi University to adopt innovative learning methods that are relevant to future needs.
