Lecturer Hamzanwadi Conducts Preparation for Public Test of Posyandu Policy Model

The Research Team from Hamzanwadi University will carry out a Public Test of the Implementation of the Posyandu Policy for Stunting Prevention in East Lombok Regency in 2022.

The activity began with a coordination meeting for preparation with the PMD Service, Health Service, and P3AKB Service, as well as 10 Village Heads together with the Head of the Village PKK where the public test took place at the Office of the Community Empowerment and Village Service of East Lombok Regency.

The ten villages designated as the locations for the public test are Kembang Kerang Village, North Masbagik, Montong Baan, South Montong Baan, Santong, Semaya, Setanggor, South Setanggor, Jerowaru, and Denggen Village. These villages were selected based on their representation of the North, Central, and South regions of East Lombok Regency.

The Coordination Meeting was opened by the Head of the East Lombok PMD Service, Muhammad Hairi. In his remarks, Hairi expressed his gratitude to the Hamzanwadi University Research Team for the implementation of this activity. In addition, he said that "This research is one of the efforts to contribute to solving the problem of stunting. This certainly also complements the efforts of the district and village governments specifically in the efforts to overcome what has been done previously".

The Head of the Research Team, Dr. Hj. Hartini Haritani also emphasized that this research is one of the efforts to support the government's program in order to reduce the stunting rate to 14% in 2024 according to the policy stated in Presidential Regulation No. 72 of 2021 concerning the Acceleration of Stunting Reduction which is holistic, integrative, and quality through coordination, synergy, and synchronization among stakeholders.

The model carried out in this study is a model of revitalizing family health posts for stunting interventions by involving all elements of society ranging from religious leaders, community leaders, health workers, village governments, entrepreneurs, founding institutions, and the general public.

Thus, it is hoped that awareness and concern will emerge that the problem of stunting is a shared responsibility and must be resolved through collaboration between all parties.

The Village Heads and each Village PKK Chairperson support this program. One of the village representatives said, "We are waiting for activities like this together, that overcoming stunting cannot only rely on village funds but must also involve all elements including support from universities.
