Hamzanwadi University carried out the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Cluster in Selong District, Monday (29/1/2024) in the Rector's Meeting Room.

"This activity is a form of follow-up and commitment from the collaboration between PLD and the East Lombok Regency Education Office," said

The purpose of signing this MoU is to increase cooperation in supporting inclusive education in East Lombok. Through this MoU, it is hoped that the cluster in the Selong area will become an example in other areas in providing services for students with disabilities.

"The agenda for signing this MoU is one of PLD's programs, that we all have the same rights, fighting for the rights and welfare of people with disabilities," he explained.

According to him, everyone has the same rights as people with disabilities, they are different does not mean they want to be helped, but at least we must respect and understand them, give them friendliness and access, then they will be independent in educational units.

Meanwhile, Head of Elementary School Curriculum of Education and Culture Office Hairirrozak Hanafi hopes that PLD and the Office will continue to work together to provide the best service and produce excellent teachers in handling students with disabilities.

In the future, the results of this collaboration are expected to be a forum in the process of implementing inclusive education in East Lombok as well as a place of practice for all PLD volunteers to continue to develop and accompany students with disabilities towards education for all.

The signing was attended by Vice Chancellor 1 of Hamzanwadi University, NTB Innovation Project Manager, Head of Elementary School Curriculum of Education and Culture Office of LOTIM, Head of Selong UPTD, as well as Head of Selong District Cluster and a number of school principals in Selong District.
