Tuesday, July 9, 2024. In front of 30 representatives of Hamzanwadi University Postgraduate students, the Hamzanwadi University Sexual Violence Prevention and Handling (PPKS) task force conducted socialization to representatives of Hamzanwadi University Postgraduate students in the meeting room. On that occasion, the Postgraduate Director Dr. Padlurrahman, study program coordinators, HMPPS supervisors, students and also the head of the PPKS task force Dr. Suhartiwi, M.Pd. Kons along with the secretary and other members of the task force. The existence of the Hamzanwadi University PPKS task force is a form of positive response to the Minister of Education and Culture Regulation Number 30 of 2021 concerning the prevention and handling of sexual violence in the university environment, said the Postgraduate Director when opening the socialization event. He continued, the existence of the PPKS task force is considered very important in efforts to ensure the comfort and safety of all academicians at Hamzanwadi University so that they can carry out their academic duties and responsibilities optimally.

On another occasion, the Head of the Task Force, Dr. Suhartiwi, who is more familiarly called Dr. Tiwi, explained that the prevention mechanism and handling mechanism of sexual violence must be understood by all academicians of Hamzanwadi University including Postgraduate because this is actually our shared responsibility. We from the task force feel that we have an obligation to take real actions in carrying out prevention such as collaborating with the Government or other parties and also conducting discussion activities, seminars, mentoring, counseling and so on, said Dr. Tiwi who is also a graduate of Padang State University. The other task force team firmly stated that Hamzanwadi University must be safe from acts of sexual violence including bullying both verbally and non-verbally. Therefore, we are ready to oversee all of this and of course we hope for cooperation from all academicians, especially lecturers, students and other education personnel. The socialization activity ended with a group photo with the symbol "Stop Sexual Violence" on the campus of students of Hamzanwadi University.
