East Lombok, The Postgraduate Student Association (HMPPS) of Hamzanwadi University held a Public Lecture on Methodology by inviting an expert from Ciputra University Surabaya, Prof. Dr. Burhan Bungin. The event, which was held in the Auditorium on the 3rd Floor of Hamzanwadi University, was attended by all students, lecturers and academics of the Postgraduate Program of Hamzanwadi University.

In his speech, the Head of HMPPS M. Hirwan Efendi expressed his gratitude to the academic community for organizing this activity. "Thank you to the institution that has given HMPPS the opportunity to invite Professors from Ciputra University Surabaya," he said. Furthermore, he hopes that with this activity, postgraduate students, especially batch 4, can gain knowledge from Prof. Burhan Bungin. "We hope that with the presence of the Professor, we will have a deeper understanding, especially research methodology," he said.

Meanwhile, the Director of Postgraduate Studies Dr. Padlurrahman, M. Pd said in his speech that science and technology are two elements that are interrelated with each other.
"Both are believed to be able to change old civilizations and habits that are stagnant (dogmatic) into better civilizations and habits that are beneficial to society," he explained. He said that this change can certainly be realized through serious efforts in building a research culture for students who must also be equipped with a comprehensive understanding of research methodology. "Be it qualitative or quantitative research," he continued.
He gave high appreciation to all HMPPS administrators and also postgraduate students of Hamzanwadi University for their success in carrying out this public lecture and this event as the closing of the 2021/2022 Even Semester. "Success for all and never get tired of building an academic culture that is superior, globally competitive and has a santri culture," he said.

Prof. Burhan Bungin, who was confirmed after delivering his public lecture, expressed his amazement at the very rapid development of Hamzanwadi University.
"Ten years ago I came here, the development was extraordinary," he said.
He appreciated the existence of postgraduate students who were so proactive in their lectures.
