
Realizing the Qur'anic Generation, Hamzanwadi University Inaugurates the First PPQ-H
Continuing the efforts after the formation and inauguration of the Central Board of Hamzanwadi Quran Lovers (PPQ-H) in December 2020, today, Wednesday (3/3/2021), the inauguration of the first members was held.
"PPQ-H is here as a means to realize the vision and mission of Hamzanwadi University as a superior and competitive campus," said the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs of Hamzanwadi University, Dr. H Musifuddin in his release.
It was stated that PPQ-H is here to realize the great ideal, namely to produce a generation of Quranic people with noble character in the future who are able to fortify themselves, because the challenges and dynamics of life in the future are getting tougher, especially concerning faith and morals.
"In the era of the industrial revolution 4.0 alone, our challenges are very tough. So you can imagine if in the next 10 years, how tough it will be for the generation to face the turmoil of life, especially in the context of religion," he said.
According to Musifuddin, who is also the Head of ABKIN NTB, the existence of PPQ Hamzanwadi is one of the student organizations that aims to "ground" the Quran among students of Hamzanwadi University in order to achieve the mission of the institution which produces graduates and graduates.
The inauguration of the first members of PPQ Hamzanwadi is expected to be the beginning of a generation that is able to respond to the challenges of a more difficult future. "PPQ Hamzanwadi is also a characteristic of the campus founded by National Hero TGKH M Zainuddin Abdul Madjid who has laid the foundation for the values of struggle to build an intelligent generation," he explained.
Interestingly, through PPQ Hamzanwadi, Hamzanwadi University has made a policy by providing scholarships to prospective students who memorize the Quran and are able to implement it in their lives later when they graduate.
"If that is achieved, then not only their good and fragrant name will have an impact on the name of their alma mater too. It should be noted that in 2020, there were 18 recipients of the tahfizd scholarships that were given, said the postgraduate lecturer at Hamzanwadi University.
The activity which took place in the auditorium of Hamzanwadi University, Wednesday (03/03/2021 yesterday) was attended by the supervisor from the Hamzanwadi Al-Quran Lovers Center, Deni Siregar and several other lecturers including the Chairperson of the Hamzanwadi University BEM.
