Hamzanwadi University held a workshop with the theme: "Writing Strategy, Citation, and Scientific Publication". This activity is intended to provide essential information and more knowledge for lecturers in writing scientific articles in national and international publications. The activity was carried out based on the idea of ​​Vice Chancellor I Dr. H. Khirjan Nahdi M.Hum., and the activity was directly opened by him. This activity still refers to the COVID-19 health protocol by arranging sitting positions according to the protocol, mandatory use of masks, body temperature tests, and mandatory hand washing.

In the opening of the workshop, Vice Chancellor I explained that this workshop aims to educate and develop knowledge and improve the quality of writing scientific articles in national and international publications for lecturers at Hamzanwadi University. In addition, he also added that writing scientific papers for lecturers is an obligation in carrying out the tri dharma of higher education. With this activity, it is hoped that it can help lecturers recognize national and international publications that match the issues written and have further citations and impact factors as determined by Hamzanwadi University and scientific publications of the university's academic community continue to increase.

This workshop activity will be carried out continuously (in series), for the first series it will be held on Wednesday, June 10, 2020. There are two speakers from Internal Hamzanwadi University, namely Dr. Tuti Mutia, M.Pd (Lecturer of Geography Education and also Reviewer of Scopus Indexed International Journals) and Shahibul Ahyan, M.Pd (Lecturer of Mathematics Education and Editor-in-Chief of the Element Journal). As a speaker for the first series of workshops, Dr. Tuti Mutia, M.Pd discussed the topic of Scientific Paper Writing Strategy, as a Scopus journal reviewer she explained how the right strategies and systematics of writing good scientific papers are in accordance with current needs. Scientific writing must be Novelistic and have a stage of the art.

Furthermore, the Vice Chancellor I in his remarks at the closing of the workshop reminded all lecturers at Hamzanwadi University to continue to focus on publishing at least 2 publications in one semester. This also aims to continue to improve the quality of human resources and ultimately improve the literacy competency of all lecturers. He said, "It is mandatory for all lecturers, especially those who have been certified to publish at least twice a year."
