SELONG - Hamzanwadi University gave rewards to 22 athletes who won medals at the NTB Porprov event which lasted 11 (eleven) days from February 18 to February 26, 2023.

At the event, students competed in various sports including karate, athletics, taekwondo, kempo, sepak takraw, and others.

Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs Dr. H. Musifuddin said that the achievements of these athletes deserve to be appreciated. In the future, the campus will continue to pay attention to campus athletes.

"Today, the campus through the achievement unit gives awards to student athletes who get medals, the policy is in the form of semester scholarships," said Musifuddin, Tuesday (06/03/2023).

He hopes that the campus achievement unit will continue to pay attention to students who have talents so that they can be channeled properly at various levels, both at the provincial and national levels.

Meanwhile, Head of the Achievement Unit M Marzuki said that the achievements of the 22 campus athletes will continue to be fostered optimally, including other athletes who currently have competence in their fields.

"The achievement unit has made efforts and encouraged all students to continue to achieve achievements. Not only in the context of sports but all fields," he said.

He said that the achievements of the athletes in the Porprov event were quite proud. In detail, of the 22 medals, the athletes won 6 gold medals, 5 silver medals, and 11 bronze medals.

"Hopefully this achievement can be maintained and even improved. We hope that other athletes and students will continue to learn and hone their talents," he concluded.
