The Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program, Faculty of Education, Hamzanwadi University, celebrated its 16th anniversary since its establishment on July 19, 2007. This agenda is an annual agenda of the study program as an effort to show its existence as one of the most popular study programs on the Hamzanwadi University campus. This year, the Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program Student Association as the organizing committee for the 16th anniversary of Elementary School Teacher Education carries the theme "Strengthening Solidarity between Academics for the Realization of Excellent Elementary School Teacher Education".

The 16th anniversary of the Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program will be held from Saturday, December 17, 2022 to January 9, 2023. In enlivening this event, the Organizing Committee has carried out several series of competitions and seminars before the peak event. The student-level competitions include, a futsal competition for students throughout Lotim, a choir competition for Elementary School Teacher Education students, a debate competition for Elementary School Teacher Education students, and a traditional dance competition for all Elementary School Teacher Education students at Hamzanwadi University. Then, several other competitions at the high school/equivalent level throughout Lombok Island include traditional creative dance competitions and debate competitions. Meanwhile, competitions at the elementary school/equivalent level include the MIPA Olympiad, coloring competition for grade 1 elementary school students, traditional creative dance competition for elementary school/equivalent level throughout Lombok Island.

In addition to holding competitions, this year's PGSD anniversary celebration also held a National Seminar featuring speakers from Surabaya State University and education practitioners, joint gymnastics and zero waste activities on the Hamzanwadi University campus, and closed with a thanksgiving and reciting the Koran together on the peak day of the 16th anniversary of the PGSD Study Program.

The peak day of the PGSD anniversary celebration was held on Monday, January 9, 2023 at the Hamzanwadi University GOR, which was attended by the Chancellor of Hamzanwadi University, Dr. Ir. Hj. Sitti Rohmi Djalilah, M.Pd virtually (online), Expert Staff of the Regent of East Lombok for development economics, Ahmad Masfu SE, MM., Dean of the Faculty of Education, Muhammad Sururuddin, M.Pd., Coordinator of the PGSD Study Program, Muhammad Husni, M.Pd., Secretary of the PGSD Study Program Yul Alfian Hadi, M.Pd., Lecturers of the Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program, BEM Hamzanwadi University, BEM FIP, UKM and HMPS throughout Hamzanwadi University, all students of the Elementary School Teacher Education study program, and all participants and assistants who won in each competition category.

On this occasion, the Chancellor of Hamzanwadi University advised PGSD students via zoom meeting to always continue to improve their capacity and competence by utilizing the facilities that have been provided. In addition, the Chancellor also said that "Students are expected to be able to master technology, because mastery of technology can produce professional graduates who have high competitiveness"

Muhammad Husni, M.Pd. as the coordinator of the PGSD Study Program also conveyed in his speech inviting all students and Lecturers of the PGSD Study Program and all parties to build collaboration and unite steps to realize the ideals of an excellent study program.

"In 2019 the PGSD study program was 12 points short of getting an "A" predicate, and this is our common challenge, in 2023 we have the right to realize what is the profile of an excellent PGSD study program," he said.

This event was also combined with the cutting of tumpeng, distribution of competition prizes, and closed with a prayer. Not to forget at the end of the event, the committee performed a creative dance with 100 dancers which was a collaboration between PGSD students and alumni. All the invited guests were amazed by the extraordinary creative dance performance, and this is part of another skill that PGSD students have besides teaching skills in class.
