
HAMZANWADI UNIVERSITY IS THE ONLY PRIVATE UNIVERSITY THAT HAS SIGNED A PKS WITH BPPT, MINISTRY OF EDUCATION, CULTURE, RESEARCH AND TECHNOLOGY, DISTRIBUTOR OF INDONESIAN EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIP
The Higher Education Financing Center (BPPT) of the Ministry of Education and Culture, Research and Technology (KEMENDIKBUD RISTEK) distributes scholarships for the SMK Teacher and Cultural Actor schemes, the Tourism Study Program at Hamzanwadi University is the only study program that is the destination for BPI recipients in 2023 in NTB.
The Indonesian Education Scholarship (BPI) is a scholarship program provided by the Indonesian Government and managed by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology which receives funding from the Education Fund Management Institute (LPDP). For the West Nusa Tenggara region, not many universities get the opportunity. Hamzanwadi University is the only campus that is the destination for BPI recipients, and it is represented by the tourism study program. There are 17 tourism study program students who are currently studying with funding from BPI through the SMK Teacher scheme.
The receipt of this scholarship was marked by the implementation of the synchronization of data for recipients of the 2023 Indonesian Education Scholarship and the signing of the Cooperation with universities receiving BPI scholarships throughout Indonesia on February 21-23, 2024 in Bandung. Present at the event were 37 universities throughout Indonesia and Hamzanwadi University, the only private university.
Meanwhile, the signing of the Cooperation Agreement between the Chancellor of Hamzanwadi University and Anton Rahmani as the Budget User Authority acting on behalf of the Head of the Higher Education Financing Center, Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology officially marked the distribution of the Indonesian Education Scholarship. The signing of the Cooperation Agreement was carried out through desk to dest at the Aryaduata Hotel Bandung as well as adjusting the data of BPI recipient students. During the synchronization process, it was attended directly by Mr. Kahar as the Head of the KEMENDIKBUDRISTEK Education Service and Development Center, in his presentation he said that the BPI Scholarship is provided for S1, S2 and S3 students with certain majors. One of them is the Tourism major which is intended to meet the needs of Tourism Vocational School teachers in Indonesia.
