Mataram — Universitas Mataram and Universitas Hamzanwadi officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), marking a joint commitment to enhance human resources quality and strengthen the implementation of Tridarma Perguruan Tinggi(25/6/2025).

The MoU signing ceremony took place at the Unram Rectorate Building, attended by the leaders of both institutions: Universitas Mataram Rector, Prof. Ir. Bambang Hari Kusumo, M.Agr.St., Ph.D., and Universitas Hamzanwadi Rector, Dr. Ir. Hj. Sitti Rohmi Djalilah, M.Pd.

In his speech, Prof. Bambang Hari Kusumo emphasized the crucial importance of synergy between higher education institutions amidst global challenges and rapid scientific advancements.

"This collaboration is a concrete step towards creating superior human resources ready to compete at both national and international levels. Such synergy is key to enhancing the competitiveness and contribution of higher education to national development," he stated.

Concurring with this sentiment, Universitas Hamzanwadi Rector, Dr. Hj. Sitti Rohmi Djalilah, expressed high appreciation for this collaboration, describing it as a strategic move to strengthen the quality of education, research, and community service.

"This partnership opens wider avenues for academic capacity development and research collaborations that directly benefit the community. It represents a tangible form of higher education's commitment to providing solutions for various national issues," she remarked.

Furthermore, this collaboration is expected to reinforce the role of higher education institutions as centers for innovation and community empowerment, particularly within the West Nusa Tenggara region.

With this MoU, both institutions are committed to mutual support in improving institutional quality, developing study programs, facilitating faculty and student exchanges, and strengthening the research and community service ecosystem.
