Hamzanwadi Goes Global: 19 Tourism Students Ready for Internship in Japan
Selong — Hamzanwadi University, through its Directorate of Cooperation and International Relations, held a send-off ceremony for participants of the International Internship Program in Japan for Tourism Studies students. The event took place in the Rectorate Meeting Room of Hamzanwadi University from 09:00 to 11:00 Central Indonesia Time (WITA).
The ceremony was attended by the Rector of Hamzanwadi University, Dr. Ir. Hj. Sitti Rohmi Djalilah, M.Pd., the university’s vice rectors, the Dean of the Faculty of Languages, Arts, and Humanities, the Tourism Program Coordinator Muhammad Ramli, M.Pd., the Director of PT Indonesia Nippon Anugrah (INA), Parman Munte, the Head of the East Lombok Manpower Office, the Head of the East Lombok Immigration Office, as well as participating students and their parents.
The Tourism Program Coordinator explained that the program has been running since April 15, 2025, beginning with socialization, selection, interviews, and language training. A total of 19 students will be sent in two batches, with the first departure scheduled for May 5, 2026. The internship program lasts one year and will be credited as two academic semesters, namely semesters 6 and 7.
In her remarks, the Rector emphasized the importance of making the most of this opportunity. “Use this one year to improve your skills and language proficiency. Experience cannot be bought, but it will become a valuable asset for your future,” she said. She also expressed appreciation to PT INA for the established cooperation and expressed hope that the collaboration could continue to expand.
Meanwhile, PT INA Director Parman Munte stated that participants will be divided and placed in two locations: Gensen Holding and Itoens Hotel. He expressed confidence that Hamzanwadi University students will adapt well in Japan, noting that training and selection results indicate strong preparedness.
Through this program, Hamzanwadi University continues to encourage students to gain global experience and enhance their competitiveness in the international tourism industry.
