Selong – Hamzanwadi University has once again implemented its international internship program as part of its commitment to preparing graduates with global competitiveness. A total of nine students from the Tourism Study Program were officially sent off to participate in the International Internship Program in Japan on Saturday, 13 June 2026.

The send-off ceremony was held in the Meeting Room of Hamzanwadi University and was attended by the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Dr. Abdullah Muzakkar, M.Si., the Vice Rector IV, the Dean of the Faculty of Languages, Arts, and Humanities, the Coordinator of the Tourism Study Program, Muhammad Ramli, M.Pd., the Director of PT Indonesia Nippon Anugrah (INA), Parman Munte, the internship participants, and their parents.

In his remarks, the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs emphasized that the international internship program is an implementation of the Ministry of Education’s policy, which grants students the opportunity to undertake learning activities outside their study program and institution for up to three semesters. Specifically, the internship program in Japan will be recognized as the equivalent of two academic semesters, with a maximum credit transfer of 40 semester credit units (SKS).

“Take full advantage of this opportunity to broaden your experience, enhance your competencies, and develop a professional character. Working in an international environment will provide invaluable experience and serve as a significant asset when entering the workforce,” said Abdullah Muzakkar.

On the same occasion, Hamzanwadi University also officially launched the Japanese Language Enrichment Program Batch II, attended by 32 students from the Tourism Study Program. The program serves as a preparatory stage for students who will participate in interviews with partner companies in Japan scheduled for July 2026.

The Coordinator of the Tourism Study Program, Muhammad Ramli, M.Pd., explained that all participants of the enrichment program are being prepared to join the international internship program, which will also be converted into 40 semester credit units. He expressed hope that the students would diligently complete every stage of the preparation process in order to successfully compete and pass the selection process.

Meanwhile, the Director of PT Indonesia Nippon Anugrah (INA), Parman Munte, stated that the internship program is not merely a training activity but also a gateway for students to begin building careers in the international labor market. According to him, students of Hamzanwadi University possess strong potential to grow and adapt within Japanese working environments.

Through this program, Hamzanwadi University continues to strengthen its collaboration with international partners while creating broader opportunities for students to gain global exposure, enhance their professional competencies, and become graduates who are well-prepared to compete at the international level.
