Selong – Hamzanwadi University has once again implemented an international internship program to prepare globally competitive graduates. Nine students from the Tourism Study Program were officially sent off to participate in the International Internship Program in Japan on Saturday, June 13, 2026.

The send-off ceremony took place in the Hamzanwadi University Meeting Room and was attended by Vice Rector I Dr. Abdullah Muzakkar, M.Sc., Vice Rector IV, Dean of the Faculty of Languages, Arts, and Humanities, Coordinator of the Tourism Study Program Muhammad Ramli, M.Pd., Director of PT Indonesia Nippon Anugrah (INA) Parman Munte, the interns, and the students' parents.

In his remarks, the Vice Rector I emphasized that the international internship program is an implementation of the Ministry of Education's policy, which grants students the right to pursue learning outside their study program or university for up to three semesters. Specifically, the internship program in Japan will be converted into two semesters of study, equivalent to a maximum of 40 credits.

"Take advantage of this opportunity to enrich your experience, improve your competencies, and build your professional character. Experience working in an international environment will be invaluable when entering the workforce," said Abdullah Muzakkar.

On the same occasion, Hamzanwadi University also officially opened the Batch II Japanese Language Enrichment Program, attended by 32 students from the Tourism Study Program. This program prepares students for interviews with partner companies in Japan in July 2026.

The Coordinator of the Tourism Study Program, Muhammad Ramli, M.Pd., explained that all participants are being prepared for the international internship program, which will also be converted into 40 credits. He hopes students will diligently follow all stages to be competitive and pass the selection process.

Meanwhile, the Director of PT Indonesia Nippon Anugrah (INA), Parman Munte, stated that the internship program is not just an internship, but a stepping stone for students building careers in the international workforce. He believes that Hamzanwadi University students have great potential to develop and adapt to the Japanese work environment.

Through this program, Hamzanwadi University continues to strengthen collaboration with international partners while opening wider opportunities for students to gain global experience, improve professional competencies, and become graduates who are ready to compete at the international level.
