Pancor, 26 June 2026 - Universitas Hamzanwadi, through its Center for the Prevention and Handling of Violence in Higher Education (PPKPT), has once again demonstrated its commitment to fostering a safe, inclusive, and child-friendly educational environment by organizing paralegal training for school principals, vice-principals, and guidance and counseling (BK) teachers within the Hamzanwadi Pondok Pesantren Darunnahdlatain Nahdlatul Wathan Diniyah Islamiyah (YPH PPD NWDI) Pancor Educational Foundation.

Held on June 26–27, 2026, at the Universitas Hamzanwadi Microteaching II facility, the training was themed "Child-Friendly, Civilized, Safe, and Violence-Free Islamic Boarding Schools." It aimed to strengthen educators' capacity to prevent and address various forms of violence within the educational setting.

The event was opened by the Chairman of the Hamzanwadi Educational Foundation, Dr. H. Muhammad Djamaliddin, BE., M.Kom. In his remarks, he commended Universitas Hamzanwadi and the PPKPT for their contribution to building the capacity of educators. He emphasized that all educational units under the foundation must serve as safe, dignified learning spaces free from any form of violence. He stated that there is zero tolerance for violence of any kind, and thus, all educators bear the responsibility of acting as both protectors and role models for their students.

During the training, Universitas Hamzanwadi lecturers presented material based on their respective areas of expertise. Dr. Suhartiwi, M.Pd., Kons. discussed identifying forms of violence and the mechanisms for handling them within the school environment. Arnila Sandi, M.Kom. covered the legal foundations of child protection and violence prevention in education. Suhupawati, M.Pd. reviewed the role of school paralegals in preventing and handling violence cases; M. Marzuki, M.Pd. presented on Online Gender-Based Violence (KBGO); and Nurul Anwar, M.Ed. equipped participants with basic counseling and victim support techniques. In addition to presentations, participants engaged in Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) and case-handling simulations covering issues ranging from bullying, verbal abuse, and digital violence to sexual violence. The event concluded with the formulation of a Follow-Up Action Plan (RTL) for establishing Safe and Child-Friendly Schools, alongside a joint commitment to creating an educational environment that is safe, inclusive, and free from all forms of violence.

Through this training, lecturers from Hamzanwadi University not only shared their expertise but also strengthened the role of higher education institutions in supporting educational units to build a school culture that is safe, equitable, and committed to upholding children's rights.
