Selong, June 17, 2026 – The Faculty of Languages, Arts, and Humanities (FBSH) at Hamzanwadi University held a public lecture on Thursday (June 17) with the theme "Transformation of Literary Research: Exploring Meaning, Ideology, and Identity in Literary Works."* This event featured Dr. Ahmad Bahtiar, M.Hum. from UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta and Dr. Yosi Wulandari, M.Pd. from Ahmad Dahlan University as speakers.

In his remarks, the Dean of FBSH at Hamzanwadi University, Dr. Muh. Jaelani Al Pansori, M.Pd., emphasized the importance of developing literary research that is responsive to social and cultural dynamics, as well as scientific developments. He stated that literary studies play a strategic role in understanding the various constructions of meaning, ideology, and identity that develop in society.

Through their presentations, both speakers emphasized the need for a multidisciplinary approach to literary research to produce studies that are more contextual and relevant to contemporary issues. The discussion also encouraged students and lecturers to develop critical perspectives in reading and researching literary works.

This activity also included the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the Faculty of Language and Literature (FBSH) of Hamzanwadi University and the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) of Ahmad Dahlan University, Yogyakarta, and between the Faculty of Language and Literature (FBSH) of Hamzanwadi University and the Faculty of Islamic Education and Teaching, Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University (UIN) Jakarta. This collaboration aims to strengthen the implementation of the Tridharma of Higher Education through collaboration in education, research, scientific publications, and community service.

Through this activity, the Faculty of Language and Literature (FBSH) of Hamzanwadi University reaffirmed its commitment to developing a collaborative academic culture and expanding its partnership network to improve the quality of education and research in the fields of language, literature, arts, and humanities.
