Tahfidz Scholarship Selection for Hamzanwadi University Academic Year 2026/2027 Held

Selong – Hamzanwadi University, through its Scholarship Unit, conducted the *Tahfidz Scholarship Selection* for the *2026/2027 Academic Year* on *Friday, 12 June 2026, at the **Hamzanwadi University Meeting Room*. The event constituted an important stage in the selection process for prospective new students who demonstrate competence and outstanding achievement in the memorization of the Holy Qur'an.

The selection was attended by prospective new students of Hamzanwadi University who had previously completed the registration process and submitted the required documents as applicants for the Tahfidz Scholarship Program. Present at the event were the Head of the New Student Admissions Office (PMB) of Hamzanwadi University, *M. Junaidi Marzuki, M.Ed., M.A. TESOL, and the Head of the Hamzanwadi University Scholarship Unit, **Sapiruddin, M.Pd.*

The selection process was administered by the management and members of the *Pusat Pencinta Qur'an/PPQ* of Hamzanwadi University, who served as the examination panel. Candidates were assessed directly to verify that the quality of their Qur'anic memorization corresponded with the scholarship category for which they had applied.

The assessment criteria included the extent of Qur'anic memorization, the quality of recitation (including *tajwid* and *makharij al-huruf), and the fluency of memorization delivery. Applicants were evaluated according to the amount of memorization proposed, covering the categories of **5 juz, 10 juz, and up to 30 juz* of the Holy Qur'an.

The Head of the Hamzanwadi University Scholarship Unit, *Sapiruddin, M.Pd.*, stated that the selection process is intended to ensure that scholarship recipients genuinely possess the qualifications and competencies required under the program regulations. In addition to serving as a form of appreciation for Qur'an memorizers, the program also reflects Hamzanwadi University's commitment to fostering the development of a Qur'anic generation distinguished by both academic excellence and strong moral character.

Meanwhile, the Head of the New Student Admissions Office (PMB), *M. Junaidi Marzuki, M.Ed., M.A. TESOL*, expressed his appreciation for the enthusiasm demonstrated by the prospective students participating in the selection process. According to him, the Tahfidz Scholarship constitutes one of the University's strategic admission pathways to provide greater access to higher education for young individuals who have achieved distinction in the field of Islamic studies.

Through this program, Hamzanwadi University aspires to produce graduates who are not only academically competitive but who also embody strong Islamic values and are capable of serving as exemplary members of society.
