Baiq Desi Dwi Arianti, S.Kom., M.T., member of the Universitas Hamzanwadi GEDSI Task Force.
In the presentation session, Prof. Khirjan Nahdi shared his research findings regarding cultural, social, and religious epistemology in mainstreaming gender equality. He stressed the importance of integrating local and spirituality values in the implementation of the Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi (the three pillars of higher education) to strengthen equality practices in academia.
Meanwhile, Desi Ariska, M.Psi. highlighted the urgency of providing a safe space for survivors of gender-based violence. She emphasized that higher education institutions have a moral and institutional responsibility to provide a secure reporting system and continuous psychological support.
Baiq Desi Dwi Arianti, M.T. presented the results of the education sector FGD, which indicated that the understanding of gender equality on campus remains varied. Therefore, she stressed the importance of strengthening gender literacy, GEDSI-responsive campus policies, and the establishment of an academic culture that values diversity.
Universitas Hamzanwadi's involvement in this KONEKSI forum affirms the university's institutional commitment to: strengthening GEDSI-perspective campus governance, developing inclusive educational research and policies, and expanding national and international collaboration networks on gender equality issues.
Through this step, Universitas Hamzanwadi continues to strive to be a safe, equitable, and progressive academic space, while actively contributing to the realization of a just knowledge ecosystem for all.
