Pringgasela – The New Generation of Indonesia (GenBI) Commissariat at Hamzanwadi University officially opened the 2026 Village Development Program at the Pengadangan Barat Village Office, Pringgasela District, East Lombok, on Monday (July 20th). The program, themed "Optimizing Local Potential through Digital Marketing and Commodity-Based Food Security," serves as a form of community service and an effort to promote sustainable village development.

The event was attended by approximately 100 participants, including GenBI West Nusa Tenggara administrators, GenBI Commissariat administrators from several other BI scholarship recipient universities, GenBI Hamzanwadi University members, the Pengadangan Barat Village Government, regional heads, the Village Consultative Body (BPD), students participating in Community Service Programs (KKN) at the University of Mataram, and the Pengadangan Barat Village Youth Organization (Kang Taruna). The Vice Rector III of Hamzanwadi University also attended and opened the event.

The Vice Rector III of Hamzanwadi University, Dr. Muhammad Ali, M.Sc., hopes that each program implemented will not stop at mere implementation, but will also be documented and developed into scientific papers. He believes this step is crucial to ensure that village potential, local culture, and community-based good practices are more widely known and serve as inspiration for other regions.

Meanwhile, the Regional Secretary of GenBI NTB, Rudi Hartono, emphasized that the Village Development Program provides a platform for GenBI members to implement their roles as Frontliners, Agents of Change, and Future Leaders through various concrete actions that have a positive impact on the community.

The Head of Pengadangan Barat Village, H. Mahli Said, S.Pd., welcomed the program and expressed the village government's commitment to supporting any activity that benefits the community and advances the village. Rian Putra, Chairman of the GenBI Hamzanwadi University Commissariat, echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the importance of collaboration between students, village government, youth, and the community in building independent and sustainable villages.

The 2026 Village Development Program demonstrates the commitment of the Hamzanwadi University GenBI Commissariat to embodying the role of students as agents of change.
