Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – Hamzanwadi University has once again achieved success on the international stage. Prof. Dr. Khirjan Nahdi, M.Hum., a lecturer at Hamzanwadi University, was invited to speak at the International Conference on Science, Technology, Education, and Tourism (ICSTET) 2026, held in a hybrid format on July 4, 2026, at the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

ICSTET 2026 serves as an international academic forum bringing together academics, researchers, and practitioners from various countries to foster the exchange of scientific ideas and promote innovation in the fields of science, technology, education, and tourism. The conference acts as a collaborative space for generating solutions and research relevant to various global challenges.

On this occasion, Prof. Khirjan Nahdi contributed to a scholarly article titled "Bridging Culture, Language, and Equity: Teacher Capacity and Culturally Responsive Curriculum for Sasak Learners in Lombok, Indonesia." The article was co-authored with fellow Hamzanwadi University lecturers Dr. Hj. Dukha Yunitasari, M.Pd., and Baiq Desi Dwi Arianti, S.Kom., M.Pd.

The research highlights the importance of strengthening teacher capacity and developing curricula that are responsive to local culture, specifically for Sasak learners in Lombok. Through this approach, the learning process aims to create an educational environment that is more inclusive, contextual, and equitable, without disregarding local cultural identities.
