Batu Layar – The academic community of Universitas Hamzanwadi has once again achieved distinction on the international stage. A professor at Universitas Hamzanwadi, Prof. Dr. Fahrurrozi, M.M., won the Best Paper Award at the 6th Business Innovation, Sustainability, and Technology International Conference (BISTIC) 2026, organized by the Department of Management, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Negeri Malang.

The international conference, held at the Jayakarta Hotel in Batu Layar, Senggigi (West Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara) on July 30, 2026, brought together academics, researchers, and practitioners from various institutions to share research findings and innovative ideas in the fields of business, sustainability, and technology.

The Best Paper Award was presented for the scholarly article titled "Determinant of Economic Autonomy among Retired Indonesian Migrant Workers in the Digital Era," authored by Prof. Dr. Fahrurrozi, M.M., Dr. Hj. Sitti Rohmi Djalilah, M.Pd., and Dr. Hj. Dukha Yunitasari, S.H., M.Pd.

The study examines the factors influencing the economic independence of former Indonesian migrant workers amidst technological advancements and the digital economic transformation. Through a comprehensive scientific approach, the research offers perspectives on the importance of capacity building, digital literacy, and economic empowerment strategies for returning migrant workers, enabling them to build independent and sustainable lives.

This award recognizes the quality of the research, the novelty of the ideas, and the relevance of the issues addressed regarding current social and economic challenges. The achievement also demonstrates the tangible contribution of Universitas Hamzanwadi faculty members in producing scholarly work that holds not only academic value but also offers recommendations for policy development and community empowerment.
