The Postgraduate Student Association of Hamzanwadi University today held a Studium Generale with the theme Quantitative Research Methodology: Explore The Power of Number in the Hj. Siti Rauhun Zainuddin Abdul Madjid Pancor auditorium.

"This Studium Generale presents an expert in quantitative research methodology, namely Prof. Dr. Nyoman Dantes, a professor at Ganesha University of Education Singaraja-Bali," said the Director of the Postgraduate Program of Hamzanwadi University, Dr. Padlurrahman, Thursday (08/24/2023).

He emphasized that this Studium Generale is one way to build a culture and behavior of scholarship among the academic community of the Postgraduate Elementary Education Masters Program at Hamzanwadi University.

"The general lecture agenda is one of the routine agendas at the start of each academic year which is attended by more than 200 new and old students as well as alumni," explained Padlurrahman who is also an alumni of IKIP Negeri Singaraja (now Undiksha).

According to him, efforts to build an academic atmosphere based on scholarship are very important and must be implemented every semester so that academic culture is well established.

On another occasion, Dr. H. Musipuddin, M.Pd when opening this event said that all participants must seriously follow this event because it is an opportunity to substantively explore various approaches in research, both quantitative and qualitative, in the field of education.

"We must have the spirit to increase the wealth of knowledge at various levels and levels so that we have the ability to adapt to the conditions in which we live in this era of disruption," explained the Vice Chancellor 3 and also the chairman of the Undiksha Postgraduate Alumni Association.

Prof. Dr. Nyoman Dantes, as a speaker, explained that this life cannot be separated from science. In this world, what is in power is science, because science can create technology and technology itself has an important role in solving problems in this world.

"In this world, there is only one thing that cannot be measured, namely human expression according to a quantitative approach," he said while mentioning that quantitative research is instrument-based and must be completed on the table.

However, he also emphasized that not all investigations are called research, so the ontology, epistemology and axiology must be clear.
