Through Community Service, the Faculty of Medicine at Hamzanwadi University Improves Health Literacy among Female Students of MA Muallimat NWDI Pancor
Pancor – The Faculty of Medicine at Hamzanwadi University held a Community Service (PkM) activity in the form of health education for female students of MA Muallimat NWDI Pancor on Tuesday (July 15, 2026). This activity implemented the Tri Dharma of Higher Education and an effort to improve adolescent health literacy, particularly regarding the importance of the First 1,000 Days of Life (HPK) and the adoption of a healthy lifestyle from an early age.
The activity received support from the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at Hamzanwadi University, Dr. Dede Iskandar, M.K.M., under the direction of Vice Dean II, Dr. Hj. Hartini Haritani, M.Pd. The activity was led by Dr. dr. Faradila, the chief executive officer.
The educational material was delivered by a team of doctors from the Faculty of Medicine at Hamzanwadi University, consisting of Dr. Arenta Mantasari, accompanied by Ulfaini Safitriani, S.K.M., M.K.M., and Ervina Yuniarti, S.Kep., Ns. Participants gained an understanding of the importance of the first 1,000 days of life (HPK) as a crucial phase in determining the health and development of future generations, as well as the importance of maintaining personal health from adolescence.
Through this activity, the Faculty of Medicine at Hamzanwadi University hopes that the female students will have a better understanding of health issues and be more motivated to adopt clean and healthy lifestyles in their daily lives. This education is also expected to foster awareness that maintaining health from adolescence is a crucial investment in creating a healthy, high-quality generation that is ready to face the future.
This activity demonstrates the tangible contribution of the Faculty of Medicine at Hamzanwadi University in providing health education services to the community and strengthening the role of higher education institutions in supporting the improvement of the health quality of the younger generation.
