Pancor – Hamzanwadi University officially sent off 39 students to participate in the 2026 West Nusa Tenggara Regional Student Arts Week (PEKSIMIDA). The contingent's send-off was conducted by the Vice Rector III for Student Affairs, Alumni, and Cooperation of Hamzanwadi University, Dr. Muhamad Ali, M.Si., accompanied by the Head of the Student Achievement Development Unit, M. Marzuki, M.Pd., at the Hamzanwadi University Rectorate Building on Friday (July 10th).

In his remarks, the Vice Rector III stated that art is a crucial medium for building character, creativity, and students' ability to communicate and collaborate amidst Indonesia's cultural diversity. "PEKSIMIDA is not just a competition, but also a space for students to express their talents, creativity, and love for the nation's arts and culture. We hope that all participants will demonstrate their best abilities, uphold the good name of Hamzanwadi University, and uphold sportsmanship and ethics throughout the competition," he said.

He emphasized that Hamzanwadi University continues to provide ample space for students to develop, not only in academics but also in the arts, culture, sports, research, innovation, and entrepreneurship as part of developing superior and competitive graduates.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Student Achievement Development Unit, M. Marzuki, M.Pd., explained that this year, Hamzanwadi University is sending 39 top students to compete in various competitions at PEKSIMIDA NTB 2026.
The students will compete in 14 categories: Dangdut Singing, Seriosa Singing, Keroncong Singing, Pop Singing, Group Vocals, Poetry Reading, Monologue, Dance, Short Story Writing, Poetry Writing, Poster Design, Painting, Comic Strips, and Photography.

"All participants are students who have gone through an internal coaching and selection process at the university level. They are talented students who will represent Hamzanwadi University at PEKSIMIDA NTB 2026," explained M. Marzuki.

He added that participation in PEKSIMIDA is part of Hamzanwadi University's ongoing strategy to foster non-academic achievement.

"Our main target is not only to achieve the best results at the provincial level, but also to qualify as many students as possible to represent West Nusa Tenggara Province at the 2026 National Student Arts Week (PEKSIMINAS). We are optimistic that Hamzanwadi University students possess the quality, creativity, and competitiveness to compete at the national level," he said.

PEKSIMIDA is a prestigious event that brings together talented students from various universities in West Nusa Tenggara Province. This event provides a platform to develop creativity, strengthen appreciation for arts and culture, and select the best delegates to represent the province at PEKSIMINAS 2026.
